Nexus 7 with Microsoft Surface like keyboard thanks to new accessory
Similar to other tablet accessories in the market, like the upcoming Microsoft Surface tablet with a keyboard cover, ASUS will launch a new accessory for the Nexus 7 Android tablet that might appeal to businesses and power users.
The new bluetooth keyboard case, as reported by retailer Mobile Fun, will hit stores soon including theirs. The ASUS-made accessory allows Nexus 7 users to type on landscape, and with the physical keyboard, encoding would be easier whilst protecting the tablet from dirt and scratches.
The store adds:
This amazingly slim real leather Nexus 7 case includes an integrated Bluetooth keyboard that’s perfect for anyone that writes a lot of emails, documents or articles (like this one!). The full QWERTY keyboard is a comfortable way of getting work done, and it doesn’t even increase the bulk of the case substantially. The keyboard is also spill and dust proof and works quietly. The Bluetooth Keyboard Case also includes an integrated desk stand that works well for watching films and playing games as well as working.
The Nexus 7 is now available in United States and other countries sporting the tag price of $199.99 for the 8GB model and $249.99 for the 16GB variant. The Nexus 7 is the first to ship with Android Jelly Bean out of the box, and includes an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, Asus Keyboard Cover , a large 7-inch IPS LCD display, a front-facing camera and a full 1GB RAM.
As for the Microsoft Surface, documents filed by Microsoft with SEC confirmed that the Windows 8 tablet computer is headed to market on October 26th with ARM processor and Windows 8 RT version which focus on touchscreen devices. The Microsoft Surface is also available with Intel-based processors and Windows 8 Pro platform. No word yet from Microsoft on price tags for the tablets with Asus Keyboard .
