Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard

Published on by accessories

It’s considered a “mini” keyboard, and that’s just what the Rii is. Of course, I’m pertaining to the size in comparison to a regular PC keyboards – and it’s much smaller. This mini keyboard weighs justa mere 3.2 ounces, with dimensions of only 5.9×2.3×0.5 inches, while a typical laptop keyboard  is more or less 18in x 2in x 8in. It’s not only tiny but it’s also lightweight, making it terrific for carrying around or for keeping it in a bag when you need it on the move. As it’s so small, this mini keyboard fits easily between your hands for a comfortable typing experience.

You will be able to use the Rii with gaming systems like PS3 or wiki, and with PCs and laptops. Most devices are wireless today, so the Bluetooth wireless USB receiver on the Rii makes connecting it to your electronics simple. The  laptop keyboard   features the familiar laptop type of touchpad, and also full QWERTY capability. In case the surroundings is not very brightly lit, the unit features 26 LED lights. The power supply comprises of two rechargeable lithium ion batteries, which come with the device.

On Amazon, the Rii has received numerous reviews, most of them rating this product with 4 and 5 stars. But possibly this device’s first appearances are misleading, because there are as well several ratings falling between 1 and 3 stars. A top range of 30 ft for working reasonably well with his Ubuntu system was reported by one product reviewer. Nevertheless, thirty feet is quite adequate. Both playlist and volume button controls are provided on the Rii, which is terrific if the intended use is multimedia in character. The Rii also handily includes other buttons, which although not frequently used, are good to have when you do want them.

Naturally, like anything, there are some bad points. The touchpad runs quite well; still, it can be a bit of a pain as it isn’t always precise, unlike most typical laptop touchpads. One other annoyance – which can be circumvented by using the mouse buttons for left and right alternatively – is that the touchpad is a tad insensitive to taps. It is also worth bringing up that the keys are directly underneath each other, and not 50% offset as we are accustomed to with the bigger  laptop keyboards  . While it does take getting accustomed to, it is not a serious problem

.

The Rii is a fantastic device for people searching for a small keyboard that features a touch pad. The price is fantastic, and the several upsides make the few drawbacks appear petty.
