Funny iPhone 4s Accessories

Published on by accessories

Improving the quality of your iPhone photos doesn't require a complicated or expensive lens system. Often a simple tool proves itself more than powerful enough. The Olloclip 3-in-1 lens system proves the point. Slide it on the iPhone over the rear-facing lens and flip or twist to switch between the fisheye, wide-angle or macro lenses, all in one piece. Since the Olloclip is small it can work in conjunction with other accessories like the Glif+ and SteadyCam Smoothee.

iPro Lens System

Available as separate pieces or a package, the iPro system is one of the sturdier lens and case combinations out there. The aluminum case adds a bit of bulk to the iPhone but can stay on and serve as protection even when the lenses aren’t in use. Currently you can buy a fisheye and wide-angle lens and a zoom lens is on the way. Buy the whole kit and you’ll also get a storage case for the lenses that doubles as a handle and tripod mount.

ALM mCAM

You might recognize this contraption from our CES coverage. Josh and Xavier both rocked the mCAM with the iPhone 4S to film some amazing video at the show. It doesn’t double for a normal use case, so it’s not for casual or quick shots. The aluminum casing doesn’t add a lot of weight, though it feels quite sturdy and cuts down on shaky video. It sports a 37mm .45x wide-angle/macro combo lens and the kit includes a mic attachment. The best part of the mCAM is its versatility; it can stand up without extra support on a flat, stable surface, there are multiple tripod mounting points and neck strap holders, plus hotshoe and bracket mounting points if you want to attach a light and/or extra mic, as we did.

Holga iPhone Filter Case

Holga’s Filter Case might not be the most practical, especially when you want to slip the iPhone into your pocket. But it does add a bit of fun to iPhone photography. The filter wheel includes lenses that double, triple, and quadruple an image, a macro lens, four color filters and a red filter with a heart shape for taking pictures of the person/people you love

Kogeto Dot

There are tons of apps that will let you stitch together a panoramic picture, but how about panoramic moving video? The Dot from Kogeto works with a free app to capture and record in 360 degrees. The app then quickly processes the video and allows for video playback that shows the entire scene, plus audio. Users can share these videos online -- including the 360 degree aspect -- on Kogeto’s website or on Facebook and other social networks.
